About Me

About Me

I lived in foster care for over a decade. After “aging out” of the foster care system, I served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Later, I went on to work in both law enforcement and child welfare with the Dallas Police Department and Child Protective Services.

Currently, I serve on the Board of Directors at TRAC (Transition Resource Action Center), representing foster youth and alumni while providing strategies to better engage with at-risk youth. In addition, I dedicate my free time to volunteering with nonprofits in the child welfare field and remain connected to direct care as an Advocate with Dallas CASA.

I travel across Texas speaking to child welfare professionals about the lived experiences of youth in foster care. I also provide training to help professionals more effectively engage with and support the young people they serve.

Most recently, I served on the Advocating for Adolescents panel at the 2025 CASA Summit in Dallas, Texas, and was the keynote speaker at the 2025 TRAC Star Celebration—an event that raised awareness among North Texas leaders about the foster care experience. Attendees included nonprofit executives, business owners, judges, and lawmakers, including Texas State Senator Tan Parker.

When I’m not advocating for foster youth, I enjoy exploring new things to do around my city and finding good pizza places.

Services

Services

Speaking

I deliver compelling public speaker that blend authentic storytelling, lived experience, and professional expertise to illuminate the realities of foster care. Through my journey from foster youth to advocate and professional, I strive to inspire hope, resilience, and systemic change. I challenge audiences to look beyond statistics and connect with the heart of what youth in care truly need to thrive. Each presentation sparks informed, compassionate action that drives lasting impact within communities and organizations.

Training

Consulting

I provide dynamic, trauma-informed training designed to equip child welfare professionals, educators, and community partners with the tools to better engage and empower youth in care. Drawing from both my lived experience and frontline work in the field, I bridge the gap between policy and practice through empathy, insight, and practical strategies. Each session encourages professionals to reimagine their approach and fosters meaningful transformation that leads to improved outcomes for young people.

As a strategic consultant, I collaborate with organizations to assess, design, and strengthen programs, policies, and practices that support youth transitioning from foster care. My approach combines professional expertise with personal insight to align mission, policy, and culture around youth-centered values. Together, we develop strategies that amplify youth voices, enhance engagement, and build systems that truly empower young people to thrive.
